we gave mike the morning off. happy to report we don't have any serious collision across the greater bay area. as we head throughout the afternoon hours, we'll lose whatever we see in terms of reduced visibility by 9:00 a.m. hazy out there. not too bad. this morning i think frost is more of a factor with temperatures in the upper 20s in north bay cities to start. this is an improvement. moderate air quality as you can recall we had spare the air three times last week. no longer is that the case. high pressure still taking the storm track to the north. winds picked up and that helped to purify air quality a little bit. through the next couple days onshore flow will help to improve that situation even more so with the return of the moisture and the fog and the low clouds. but not until wednesday. today and tomorrow we enjoy the upper 60s. even a couple isolated 70s in places like santa cruz and gilroy. 65 in san francisco today. and then wednesday a little bit of fog and drizzle. still staying mild temperaturewise.

we extend our sympathies to mike and his family. i would also like to thank director reiskin, because a few board meetings ago director reiskin suspected that suggested that we look into that and found it's viable and could save us money and we modeled after the department of public works and caltrans regulations, allowing for savings during the bid submission and bidders will be encouraged to submit their value engineering proposals that will decrease the bid price, construction cost and if a proposal is accepted the savings attributable to that value engineering proposed are subtracted from the bidder's bid price making their bid price more competitive and improving the likelihood of approval of the work. we'll realize 100% of the savings with the bidders value engineering proposal. during construction trade subcontractors will be encouraged to submit these proposals and after deducting costs incurred in the proposal, a trade subcontractor in the tjpa will share a 50/50 basis a shared savings. so thank you director for that sugges

i see mike boyd in the room and he always likes to remind people that ed roberts day is coming up next week on wednesday. and there are always a variety of ways to raise consciousness around disability, human and civil rights and elevating days that have been set aside by state legislature to honor folks that have brought forward disability rights as one way to do that. so i will remind folks of that and there may be ways that you can participate and show support. we are very fortunate in san francisco that i think we have city leaders who really understand a lot of disability issues and try to put them forward. we have seen examples of that with the department of aging and adult services coming forward. but we still need to always emphasize the kind of unique issues that people with disabilities raise, and bring forward. often as you all know, sometimes when needs for people with disabilitis are met, the needs of other communities that we didn't know were there. san francisco really is a leader as far as counties in state. i can speak that i think this county is far and away, i think
